Full Time Preschoolers at The Nest will enjoy a happy engaging place where they can discover, investigate and explore the world around them. We will utilize The Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers to provide developmentally appropriate experiences that promote school-readiness. This includes encouraging and fostering independence and learning how to participate in a group setting. Your child’s development will be supported with well-planned intentional practice of social, emotional, cognitive, physical, motor, language, and communication skills. Though a heavy emphasis will be placed on literacy and math, children will be provided daily opportunities to practice those skills through joyful play, music, art, daily routines and connecting to nature.

Wrap Around Preschool children will be transported/walked to and from Earlham Community School to attend morning and afternoon classes. While in our care at The Nest, your child will be provided meals, snacks and participate in the same curriculum that is offered to all full time preschoolers. Offered During School Year

3 Year Old Only Preschool Program is designed specifically for children who are ready to experience a structured, academic environment in a short, supportive setting. Children attend for a 3-hour session that includes a snack, engaging physical play, and cognitive activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence. There are no meals, transportation, or wraparound care, making this a simple and focused preschool option.

Families may choose between a 3-day schedule (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or a 2-day schedule (Tuesday and Thursday), offering flexibility to fit a variety of family needs. This program is ideal for stay-at-home parents, families using in-home childcare, or caregivers who want their child to benefit from a high-quality preschool experience while gaining a few hours to run errands, complete important tasks, or manage household responsibilities—knowing their child is safe, engaged, and learning.

Please note: this program is only available when the local Earlham Schools preschool program is in session. If Earlham Schools are not operating, this program will not be offered, as the learning center will then be serving 4- and 5-year-old students.
